The Impact Factor for the Annals of Animal Science journal has increased

The Editorial Office of the ANNALS OF ANIMAL SCIENCE wishes to inform you that the new Journal Citation Report has been published in which the “Impact Factor”  scores for scientific journals indexed in the Web of Science database were presented. According to the aforementioned release, the Impact Factor for the Annals of Animal Science (AAS) has significantly increased to 1.018  (from 0.731). At the same time, AAS has been upgraded to the second quartile (Q2) of the journals in the animal production category (AGRICULTURE, DAIRY & ANIMAL SCIENCE).

 

Scientific Seminar “Local goods from native breeds – from a farmhouse to a table”

On 29 May 2018, the Scientific Seminar entitled “Local goods from native breeds – from a farmhouse to a table” was held in the National Research Institute of Animal Production in Balice in connection with the realization of a research task: the implementation of the methods of development and biodiversity conservation. The task is the part of the project: The uses and the conservation of farm animal genetic resources under sustainable development. The National Research Institute of Animal Production is the leader of the consortium.

12th National Exhibition of Polish Red Cattle – Szczyrzyc 2018

Between 9 and 10 June 2018, the 12th National Exhibition of Polish Red Cattle and the accompanying Regional Sheep Exhibition and Pedigree Rabbits Exhibition were held in Szczyrzyc.

The organizers of the event were as follows: the National Association of Polish Red Cattle Breeders, Jodłownik Commune, Małopolska Agricultural Chamber, Małopolski Agricultural Advisory Centre, the National Support Centre for Agriculture. The National Research Institute of Animal Production was one of the co-organizers.

Meeting within the framework of VOTRIS project – Erasmus +

Within the framework of the realisation of “VOTRIS – Transfer of good practices within vocational trainings in scientific institutions of agricultural sector” project, a group of representatives of scientific institutions: Agricultural Institute of Stara Zagora (Bulgaria), Institute of Animal Science in Prague – Uhrineves (Czech Republic), Stichting Agro Management Tools at Wagenigen University (the Netherlands) and the Institute of Animal Husbandry at Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Kaunas) were hosted in the National Research Institute of Animal Production between 13 and 17 May 2018.

The 14th Conference of European Draught Horse Federation (FECTU)

The 14th Conference of European Draught Horse Federation (FECTU) was held in Sweden between 6 and 8 April 2018.

The activity of FECTU organization is based on the cooperation of European unions and associations of people acting for the benefit of local breeds conservation and promoting their use in compliance with the guidelines of the European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

Bilateral Cooperation Agreement between the National Research Institute of Animal Production and Federico Henríquez y Carvajal University (UFHEC) in the Field of Exchange and Scientific Research

On 13 April 2018, the Director of the National Research Institute of Animal Production, Prof. Eng. Maciej Pompa Roborzyński, Ph.D. and  Vice-President of Federico Henríquez y Carvajal University (UFHEC) in Santo Domingo (the Dominican Republic), Darwin Muñoz, Ph.D.  taking into account common goals concerning among others the development of agriculture with special regard to organic production, animal breeding and performance, signed a bilateral agreement, which will enable cooperation and exchange in the field of scientific research, technologies applied, specialist technical support, knowledge and technology dissemination between the aforementioned units. The realization of the projects within Horizon 2020 Framework Programme and ERA NET LAC among others in the field of environment protection and climate changes will also be the aim of the appointed research teams.
