XX National Agricultural Exhibition – Jasnogóra Harvest Festival

Between 3 and 4 September 2011 the XX National Agricultural Exhibition – Jasnogóra Harvest Festival and the XII Days of European Folk Culture took place in Częstochowa.

The National Research Institute of Animal Production presented its offer as part of the exhibition “Science in agriculture”, during which the Institutes representing the agricultural branch also presented themselves. Tadeusz Nalewajk, the Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Janusz Związek, Chief Veterinary Officer and Marek Cieśliński, Vice-Director of the Department of Consultation, Agricultural Education and Science honoured the Institute’s stall with their presence

The exhibition of the Institute generated a lot of interest among the visitors. It was also visited by farmers from all over Poland, who joined the “All-Polish Pilgrimage of Farmers” to Jasna Góra.

The annual National Agricultural Exhibition was visited by about 80,000 visitors and more than 400 exhibitors from all over Poland, who presented their offer at seed and bee-keeping fairs, exhibitions of machinery and tools, entrepreneurship, small livestock and ornamental birds, and fairs of organic agriculture, flowers and ornamental shrubs, and agricultural and food products.

During the ceremonial opening of the Exhibition, prizes in the All-Polish Contest for the Best Organic Farm were given. In the category Ecology – Environment, the Experimental Station of the National Research Institute Ltd. Grodziec Śląski took the first place.

A rich publishing offer was presented concerning research underway, its results, and the possibility of their commercialization and dissemination.
