XIII International Agricultural Exhibition Agro Show 2011, Bednary, 23 – 26 September 2011

Between 23 and 26 September 2011 in Bednary close to Poznań the “XIII International Agricultural Exhibition Agro Show 2011” took place, which was organized by the Polish Chamber of Agricultural Machinery ad Equipment. Honorary patronage over the exhibition was assumed by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, whereas Program 1 of Polish Television provided media sponsorship.

Organized since 1999, the exhibition is the biggest international agricultural event in Poland and one of the largest in Europe. Premieres of new agricultural machinery and equipment, which take place during the exhibition, are evidence of its high importance. AGRO SHOW is comprehensive in scope – one may present and admire not only machinery and equipment but also fertilizers, seeds, elements of furnishings of livestock buildings and many other means of agricultural production.

690 national and foreign exhibitors presented their companies from Sweden, Great Britain, Spain, France, Holland, Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Lithuania, Ukraine and China.

Many attractions were prepared for all the visitors, including presentation of state-of-the-art agricultural machinery and equipment,: sprayers, telescopic loaders, front loaders, solutions earmarked for precision farming and a series of seminars on current problems of the agricultural branch.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, the Agricultural Market Agency, the Farmer’s Social Security Fund, the National Council of Agricultural Chambers, the Institute of Technology and Life Sciences in Falenty, the Fertilizer Research Institute and the National Research Institute of Animal Production also presented their offer.

At our stall, which generated a lot of interest among the visitors, rich dissemination and implementation offer, information about native breeds and the commercial offer of companies and experimental stations were presented. All those interested could also get information about current research and the possibility to establish cooperation with the Institute.

This year’s exhibition was attended by 125,000 farmers from all of Poland.
