National Research Institute of Animal Production at Małopolska Innovation Fair 2015

On 27 May 2015 on the Small Market Square in Krakow, the next Małopolska Innovation Fair was held, which is one of the main events of the Małopolska Innovation Festival. Marshal Office of the Małopolska Voivodeship was a coordinator and the main organizer of the event.

More than fifty companies and institutions from Małopolska, presenting innovative solutions in many branches took part in the fair. As part of the exhibition, there were presented innovations in the field of robotics, 3D printing, virtual reality, communication and the use of drones. Nearly 2700 guests visited the fair tent.

The National Research Institute of Animal Production took part in the Małopolska Innovation Fair for the second time, presenting information concerning e-learning trainings and presenting the directions of research conducted in the Institute, which have an influence on the development of the agricultural sector:

  • Presentation on cytomolecular diagnostics of farm animals, Prof. Monika Bugno-Poniewierska, Ph.D.;
  • Presentation on individual identification of animals based on DNA markers, Anna Radko, Ph.D.;
  • Presentation on prion diseases – genetic diagnostics, Agata Piestrzyńska-Kajtoch, Ph.D.;
  • Presentation on detecting and species identification of animal protein, Małgorzata Natonek-Wiśniewska, Ph.D.
