Seminar "Innovations in milk production"

Between 26 and 27 September 2016, a group of 45 specialists from the Agricultural Advisory Centre, Radom branch stayed in the Pawłowice Experimental Station. The study visit to Pawłowice took place within the National Rural Network of the Rural Development Programme for the years 2014 – 2020.

On the first day, a cycle of lectures was presented, which were delivered in the following sequence by:

    1. Eng. Marian Kamyczek, Ph.D. – “The practical application of the AFIFARM system on a dairy cattle farm”.
    2. Piotr Wójcik, Ph.D., Professor of NRIAP – “Pedometer as a universal tool to monitor the behaviour and to detect oestrus in the herds of dairy and beef cows”
    3. Jacek Walczak, Ph.D. – “The role of cowshed microclimate in shaping productivity, health and fertility of dairy cattle”.

      On the second day of the seminar, the specialists from the Agricultural Advisory Centre, Radom branch participated in the workshops organized on the dairy cattle farm in Pawłowice, where they had an occasion to become acquainted with production technology and innovative solutions applied by the Pawłowice Experimental Station of the National Research Institute of Animal Production.
