Central Agricultural Fair, Nadarzyn 2016

The first edition of the Central Agricultural Fair was held in the Polish Fair and Exhibition Centre Ptak Warsaw Expo  between 25 and 27 November 2016.

The fair was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Development.

The keynote of the Central Agricultural Fair was the promotion of Polish export hits in agriculture, everything that is modern and innovative in this trade. About 300 exhibitors presented their offers in the fair halls: producers of machines, agricultural devices and plant protection products, breeders, processors and distributors.

The Central Agricultural Fair is the event with a very broad thematic scope, grouped within the framework of the specialist thematic sections:

Agricultural Technique Lounge was an occasion to become acquainted with the state-of-the-art machines and devices used in agriculture, horticulture and animal and plant production, among others:  tractors, combine harvesters, ploughs, seeders, fertilizer spreaders, sprinklers, grinding machines, feed wagons, manure spreaders and many others.

Agricultural Production Supplies Lounge – within the exposition there were presented agricultural production supplies, among others: fertilizers, plant protection products, commercial feeds and qualified seed material.

Good Food Fair – in cooperation with the leading organizations and self-governments of agricultural producers and individual entrepreneurs a section of promotion of key Polish agri-food trades was organized, including the following sectors: dairy, fruit and vegetables,  mushrooms, pork, beef, poultry, mutton, lamb and the other food products.

The section of innovation for agri-food trade –  apart from the companies offering innovative technologies, products and solutions for a broadly understood agri-food trade, in this section cooperation offers were also presented by research institutes, grouped on an “Innovation Island”, organized by the Agricultural Advisory Centre.

The National Research Institute of Animal Production was present at the fair in several places:

  • In room E an exhibition of farm animal native breeds, which generated a lot of interest was presented;
  • In room F in the stall organized by the Agricultural Advisory Centre as part of the Innovation Network in Agriculture and Rural Areas, the National Research Institute of Animal Production presented its scientific output;
  • In room E on the 3rd Beef Sector Forum, Polish Beef – Beef with Future – as a content-related patron.

The traditional exhibition offer was completed with numerous competitions, artistic performances of folk bands, conferences and symposia. The show of Christmas tables organized as part of the 150th anniversary of the Farmer’s Wives’ Association under the patronage of the President of Poland enjoyed a lot of popularity.
