The 26th National Agricultural Exhibition in Częstochowa

Between 2 and 3 September 2017, the 26th National Agricultural Exhibition and the 18th Days of European Folk Culture, which accompanied the All-Polish Jasna Góra Harvest Festival, were held in Częstochowa. The Silesian Agricultural Advisory Centre in Częstochowa was the organizer of the events, whereas the President of the Republic of Poland assumed honorary patronage over them.

The National Agricultural Exhibition in Częstochowa is the largest event of exhibition-fair character in the Silesia region and one of the most influential ones in Poland. This year, about 400 exhibitors presented their offer including machines and tools for agriculture, regional products, handicraft, seedlings, honey, seeds and feed additives. There were also the presentations of governmental institutions, agricultural agencies, organizations and academic institutions of the agricultural sector.

Vice-Minister of Agriculture, Ryszard Zarudzki opened this year’s exhibition and during his visit he also came to the stall of the National Research Institute of Animal Production.

In spite of not so fine weather, numerous attractions, including folk band performances and the exhibition of vintage agricultural machines attracted a lot of visitors, both Częstochowa inhabitants and the pilgrims visiting Jasna Góra within All-Polish Harvest Festival.
